Supermodel Caprice has given a Vale company her seal of approval for new beauty product created by brother and sister team, Julie and David Whitaker. The Whitaker’s have now launched their new luxury rehydrating body complex under the label, Lucia Goldstein. For 15 years, Julie and David have worked in the essential oil and natural product industry from their base in Nantglyn. But three years ago, they decided to consolidate their work and create a luxury skincare range using their expertise in the blending of natural products. Once the product was created and perfectly packaged, Julie and David contacted a number of celebrities including caprice and internationally renowned hat designer to the stars Nick Smith offering them the opportunity to try the body complex and the results could not have been better. Julie explained: “We contacted Caprice through her PA, and sent her over a sample to try and she’s been so impressed with it she has named it as one of her top 10 beauty products and has allowed us to use her picture for promotion purposes, which has been a real bonus. “Nick Smith absolutely loves it and I’ve spoken to Christine Hamilton a few times and she is now also a confirmed fan – as is beauty editor of Cosmopolitan magazine. “It’s wonderful to get such positive feedback after all this hard work, the quality of the product really is beginning to speak for itself and is certainly beginning to be recognised in celebrity circles as well .” Julie explained that instead of using rocket science in the skincare industry, there has been a huge swing back to using natural science to its utmost potential, something she and David have been keen to lead the way in. As part of the initial marketing process the cream was tested by 50 women from 23 to 60-plus and the response was excellent. The rich cream contains vitamins and exotic ingredients from around the world, with Monoi from Tahiti, White Tea and Camellia from China, Rosehip from Chile and Frangipani from Bangladore. Julie added: We felt it was important to get the fragrance just right, as well as the skin enhancing properties and we’ve achieved a really good balance. It is a light, fresh fragrance but is still subtle enough not to clash with other beauty products or perfumes.” Lucia Goldstein is already on sale at Langley Spa, Conwy, and is now on sale at The Lodge, Llanrhaeadr.
